Bio: "I was First inspired by commercial trance in 2000 at dance parties held at the local youth centre (DYC). It was also here that I was given the opportunity to first try out the basic skills of mixing on a set of Numark CD decks. With my experience with musical structures before, coming from learning instruments such as Guitar, Bass and Keyboard, the theory side of mixing seemed pretty simple. After a few basic lessons I was hooked and started practicing constantly down the centre day after day. It wasn't long before I was playing the harder side of commercial trance and even a bit of hardhouse at the centre's monthly "Dance Anthems" events. The events would pull about 200-250 people aged 16-21 and it was a great way to learn how to "work" the crowd and get the responses that I was looking for. Another benefit was I was learning to play straight out on a large soundsystem and club environment.

After about three months of this I became more and more interested in the harder edge of the music I was playing, and started playing less and less commercial trance and hardhouse, and turning to Import Trance instead. By now I was pulling off good mixes on the CD decks and wanted to take it a step further by progressing to Vinyl. It was lucky that DYC also had a pair of 1210s as well so I was able to practice weekly on these. Four weeks later and I was given some Sony DD Turntables, two to three more months of hard practicing, and vinyl buying and I was asked to play at a local trance/techno event. By this time my style had become a lot harder, and certainly no longer commercial.

It was only about two months later that I picked up a residency with "CHUNKY", held at the Kiva in Weymouth. My style was now mainly consisting of German Hard Trance. It was at the Kiva that I was recognized by some well established DJ's, this led to a second residency with "Underground Nation" where I got to play alongside some of the "Country Club" residents, which at the time was the biggest and best club around. "CHUNKY" started playing at Liberty's as well, and I was instantly made a resident there. My main interest now was "Underground Nation" as this was where I was receiving the most respect from. After a few months I dropped my residency with "CHUNKY", I started Promoting some of my own nights at local Venues and they seemed to work really well. It was then that I realized just how many useful contacts I had picked up.

Since then "Underground Nation" has stopped, and I was lucky to pick up a residency with "Chemical-Element", I am now employed as there webdisigner as well, so I'm still well into the underground scene around the south west. My Residencies with them are at "The Beehive" and "The Grove" two of the Southwest's major players in the Hard Trance scene."
